Lennox Lewis v Gary Mason (1991) – Original Fight Poster
On 6 March 1991, European champion Lennox Lewis met British champion Gary Mason at Wembley Arena, with both titles at stake. Mason was unbeaten in 35 fights, while Lewis was 14–0. The opening rounds were even, but Lewis's jab swelled Mason's right eye shut, and the fight was stopped in the seventh round. Lewis added the British title to his European crown, and was world champion within two years.
