Nigel Benn v Gerald McClellan (1995) – Original Fight Poster
On 25 February 1995, WBC super-middleweight champion Nigel Benn defended his title against former WBC middleweight champion Gerald McClellan at the London Arena in Millwall. Billed as "Sudden Impact", it was one of the most anticipated fights of the decade. McClellan knocked Benn out of the ring in the first round and floored him again in the eighth, but Benn survived and stopped him in the tenth. McClellan suffered serious injuries after the fight and never boxed again. It remains one of the most talked-about and sobering nights in British boxing.
