Marvin Hagler v Alan Minter (1980) – Original Fight Poster
On 27 September 1980, Alan Minter defended his WBA and WBC middleweight titles against challenger Marvin Hagler at Wembley Arena, after a bitter build-up. Hagler dominated, and cuts to Minter's face led the referee to stop the fight in the third round, giving Hagler his first world title. Bottles and glasses were thrown into the ring afterwards, and Hagler and his team had to be escorted out by police.
