1980s British Boxing Posters

The 1980s brought some of the biggest nights in British boxing history: Marvin Hagler v Alan Minter, Barry McGuigan v Eusebio Pedroza, Tim Witherspoon v Frank Bruno, and Don Curry v Colin Jones. It was also the decade of Herol Graham, Lloyd Honeyghan, Dennis Andries and a generation of fighters who filled arenas and halls across the country.

The posters from this era were bolder and more colourful, and they show how fights were sold before satellite TV and pay-per-view changed everything. Below are the fights from the 1980s featured in Selling The Fight. Where we've shown the original poster, click through to see it.
