Barry McGuigan v Nicky Perez (1988) – Original Fight Poster
On 4 April 1988, former WBA featherweight champion Barry McGuigan returned to the ring at the Alexandra Pavilion in London, nearly two years after losing his title to Steve Cruz in Las Vegas. His opponent was Nicky Perez, a former world title challenger from the United States. McGuigan stopped him in the fourth round, and went on to beat Francisco Tomas da Cruz and Julio Cesar Miranda before retiring in 1989.
